Epson Expression Home XP-200, XP-300, and XP-400 Ink Cost

Epson released several printers that ideal for everyday tasks including printing, copying and scanning. There are Epson Expression Home XP-200, XP-300, and XP-400 small-in-one all-in-one printer in the market right now.

They are so compact and whisper-quiet, you can use it in any room in your house, even where space is limited.

Those printers use the same replacement ink cartridges i.e the Standard-capacity (T200) and the High-Capacity (T200XL). And the most important they also offer individual ink cartridges so you can replace only the color that you need.

The following are ink yield information for each cartridges:

  • Standard-capacity Black (T200120): About 175 pages
  • Standard-capacity Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow (T200220, T200320, T200420): About 165 pages per color
  • High-capacity Black (T200XL120): About 500 pages
  • High-capacity Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow (T200XL220, T200XL320, T200XL420): About 450 pages per color

Approx. of Cost Per Page

Based on those ink yield information, the cost per page for the Epson XP-200, XP-300, and XP-400 are about:

Standard-capacity Black
Cost per page: about 7 cents


Standard-capacity Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow $31.25 (as of 12/14/2012)
Cost per page: about 6 cents

The cartridge yields may vary considerably for reasons including images printed, print settings, temperature and humidity. Yields may be lower when printing infrequently or predominantly with one ink color.




What is the difference between those all-in-one printers? The XP-200 is the basic one, then the XP-300 adds 1.44" LCD and card slots and the XP-400 Adds 2.5" LCD and touch panel.
